2) When you walked in were you… NOT APPLICABLE Greeted and asked how we may assist you? Greeted and asked to take a seat and attended to as soon as a personnel member was free? Asked to take a seat and wait Ignored until you asked for help

3) Was your wait for assistance… NOT APPLICABLE Brief and I was helped promptly A while, but the staff was busy with other people like me Long and the members seemed to avoid me Long but the person who assisted me apologised for the wait I knew where to go and went straight there

 SAPS RESPONSE TO CALLS FOR ASSISTANCE

2) How was your telephone call handled when you called the STATION number? NOT APPLICABLE I was asked all sorts of questions pertinent to my problem I was asked my name, telephone number and the nature of my problem I was asked for just the address and nature of problem I was put on “hold” even though it was an emergency I was transferred all over the station My call was transferred, and the person whom I spoke to was able to assist me I had to keep repeating myself and battled to communicate with the call taker In future I will rather call someone else

3) How quick was the response? NOT APPLICABLE Fast, I was impressed. Average, I don’t know if they were busy or far away Slow, I believe they could have been quicker I’m still waiting

4) Upon arrival, how did the officials approach you? NOT APPLICABLE Very courteous, they greeted me, identified themselves and asked how they could help. They apologised for any delay in responding to my call They said, “Hi, is this the right address?” I didn’t even get their names

5) In your interaction with the Police officials did you find? NOT APPLICABLE They were polite, professional, and showed genuine concern for my problem They appeared to be thorough in the questions they asked and answered all my questions They were professional, but I felt as though I was just another call They didn’t appear as professional as I would have expected

6) After your interaction with the SAPS officials did you feel? NOT APPLICABLE Impressed that they had exceeded your expectations Satisfied that they had conducted themselves professionally They appeared new at the job, but tried the best they could They could have done or explained a few things a bit better That I was an interruption to their day by creating work for them
