Welcome:
Mr Kevin Harvey welcomed all present.

Matters
Arising:
Mr Harvey informed the meeting that Mr Ferlin was no longer welcome at public CPF meetings, as he was declared by the Executive as a disruptive and negative influence.
Crime
Report:
Mrs Karen Delport presented the crime report. She reported that significant improvements had been made especially with carjacking. Sector 3 still poses a problem with most trio crime.
Bust
of the month:
Held over to next month. Cst Clark recounted the incident regarding an exceptional action by Cst Kathi while off duty, where he assisted in the arrest of a suspect in possession of an unlicensed firearm.

Sean Peterson of Veridot presented a talk on the technology of “Microdoting” valuables ranging from cars and motorcycles, to movable goods such as TV’s and even

Service
Delivery Improvement Program:
Mr Rusty Damp presented his findings of levels of service delivery to the community and reported that bar one, every complainant he called was extremely happy with the service rendered by the Westville SAPS. He made special note that fingerprint’s experts attendance a scene has improved to a satisfactory level.
General:
Cst Clark reported that the next week was National Child Protection Week and he was leading a drive to collect clothes and goods for the children of the “Banana City” informal settlement.
Mr Harvey reported that he and Col Emmanuel had attended a meeting at the King Shaka to do with the state of readiness for the 2010 World Cup.
Mr Rick Millard stated he was concerned with the high housebreaking rate in Westville North (Sector 1). He suggested the reactivation of Street watches in the area. This was agreed to by Cst Clark.
