3. CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES:

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES 
The Community Police Forum Exec and portfolios together with the Current Projects were presented to the Community present at the Meeting.

5. BUST OF THE MONTH
D/Inspector Meyer and D/Inspector Lessing received the bust of the month in respect of quick arrests in a rape case where bail was opposed. The Justice Department to set court date.

6. GUEST SPEAKER
Mr. Allan Wohrnitz who is the KZN Representative and Regional 
Co-ordniator of the Foundation for a Drug Free World. Mr. Wohrnitz conducted a presentation on Drugs and the effects of Drugs on our youths. A DVD was also shown on the effects of Drugs.   read more...

7. CRIME REPORT 
Supt. Singh conducted a presentation in respect of Carjackings within the Westville Area. Supt. Singh indicated that Carjackings are on the increase Supt. Singh urges the Community to become for Pro-active and to ensure that their properties are well lit and that house numbers a clearly visible a all times. Supt. Singh informed the Community that a meeting will take place on the 6th September 2008 where the matter will be discussed to install cameras at certain points within the Westville Area.

8. Service Evaluation
Mr Kevin Harvey reports that 7/10 complainants who were contacted were satisfied with the Service o f the Westville SAPS. There was however one complaint pertaining to the response of the Westville SAPS as well as fingerprints not attending timeously.

9. REPORT BY SECURITY COMPANY
Nil 

10. GENERAL
Supt. Singh introduces the four (4) new students who are currently undergoing training at the Westville SAPS.
