5. BUST OF THE MONTH
The Bust of the Month went to a Host of members from SAPS Westville, SAPS Bayview and Tracker Services pertaining a success in a Carjacking which occurred in the Westville Area and linked to a Bayview Case.
6. GUEST SPEAKER
Mr. Steve Smit and Carol Booth from the Vervet Monkey Help Line gave a talk and slide show on how to deal with Vervet Monkeys, a brief explanation was also given about Vervet Monkeys in order for the Community to understand the Vervet Monkeys. 7. CRIME REPORT
A Crime Report pertaining to Burglaries Residential, Robbery Aggravating and Theft of Motor Vehicle for the month of October 2008. Challenges are being faced with an increase in Robbery Aggravating, Housebreaking and Theft of Motor Vehicle as the Festive Season approaches. The Community is urged to be vigilant and to upgrade their Security Measures.
Supt. Singh further indicates hat additional personnel will be deployed and regular Patrols will be made by SAPS members within the Hot Spot Areas.
8. SDIP / PATROL SCHEME
Mr Rusty Damp indicates that a very favorable report was received from the Community.
9. REPORT BY SECURITY COMPANY
Nil
10. GENERAL
Mr. Kevin Harvey gives a special thanks to the South African Police Service and all Community members for their dedication and commitment during the year. The Community are further urged to note that regular Road Blocks will be conducted by Metro Police during the Festive Season.
