Whats a CPF ?
Without getting too technical it is worth noting the following:
Every SAPS Station is obliged to establish a Community Police Forum.  (CPF)
Each CPF must have a Chairman and Deputy Chairman who are both  non police officials.
The Station Commissioner or Superintendent must be on the committee and is described as an ex officio member.
There must be a Treasurer and a Secretary
Additional members are elected to assist the above and facilitate in the management of any projects.
A geographical area may be divided into sub forums

Each CPF must have a constitution that can be modeled on an available draft CPF constitution.

Further detail is available in a document titled CPF Toolkit.
